My Last Road Trip with the Blazer.

In Oct 2005, one of my buddies got married in Pennsylvania and asked if I could make it. I don't really work, so obviously it was no problem getting a long weekend. So, me and my imaginary friend Randy went to Pennsylvania for his wedding. They got married on Friday and were off for their honeymoon shortly after. We didn't have to go back to work until Tuesday, so Randy talked me into driving up to Niagara Falls. It took us all day to get there from Pennsylvania. We went and looked at the falls, went into Canada long enough to have dinner and see what Canada looked like, and then came back home the next day. Also, another long day of driving. That was the last road trip I took with the Blazer. I only use it to take off the trash now. Still not getting rid of it though!

This is a picture of downtown Buffalo, NY. Not much to see there.

Here's a shot of the Falls I took from the American side. It's supposed to be nicer from the Canada side.

The girls....before Austin.

This is the girls back in September 2007, before Austin was born. The house was a lot more quiet then.

Kaitlyn being silly!

I took these one night a long time ago. I had the disk in the camera bag and forgot all about it.

Austin in Baby Prison

I took these last night before we put the kids to bed. Austin gets locked in the living room with his toys so me and Carintha can work on getting the girls to bed. This was him looking in at Carintha cleaning up the kitchen after dinner.

Then I started taking pictures of him, that took his mind off her.

Then Kaitlyn came to play with him while Morgan was taking a bath. He likes to play with Kaitlyn. She beats up on him a little now, but I think that will change in a year or two!

Hercules

Hercules is an american staffordshire terrier. When we lived in Guam, Carintha worked at an animal shelter called G.A.I.N. (Guam Animals In Need). Hercules was picked up and dropped off there because he was found wandering around aimlessly. He had a huge abscess on his neck. She was with him at the Vet when it was removed. There were complications and she had to give him mouth to whatever for about 3 hours to keep him alive. After that, she came home and told me she wanted a dog. And that's how we got him.

Happy Birthday Morgan!

(August 27th, 1999)
Morgan was born when I didn't have a digital camera, so I don't have pictures of the OR, and the ones I do have are scanned. The video camera was 8mm, so I can't upload that either. But I do have pictures from when she was in NICU.

And this is the card the NICU nurses made for her "bubble" that she was in.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

(March 28th, 2005)
This is what Carintha looked like for all the kids. They were all C-sections so she didn't get to see anything. That's why I tried to document as much as possible.

This is us right after they cleaned up Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn didn't have to go to NICU, but she did have to stay in the nursery for a while. Minor difficulties but nothing major.

Austin playing with his fire truck

These were taken when Austin was 6 months. The thing he is playing with in this picture when have had since Morgan was his age.
This was a fire truck that Kaitlyn got for some reason, but Austin loves it.

Camping in Massachusetts June 2008

Our division went camping in the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts in June 2008. We were there for three days. We had fun, but I think next time we are going to find a campsite that is closer than a 3 hour drive.
This is Ron, one of our Senior Chiefs.

This is Josh. He started playing banjo in about Jan 08. He was pretty good by this point and was playing a few songs, including the begining of "Dueling banjos" from "Deliverance".

This is Jay's girls fishing. They didn't catch anything though.

This is Jay fishing. He didn't catch anything either.

This is Erik making steaks the first night we were there. Very good!
This is Erik getting mad at the fish. We had tried everything for bait, but the fish wouldn't bite on anything; so he decided to try to hit them with the fishing pole. That didn't work either. Good thing we brought food or we would have starved to death.

Summerville Prom 1996

This was taken before me and Carintha went to Summerville High School's Prom in 1996 in her backyard. I know the quality is bad, but I'm getting a better scanner later and I will fix it later.

Kaitlyn playing in the dog food.

This was from when we lived in Navy housing and Hercules lived in the dining room. Kaitlyn had started walking and she loved to get in the dog food bin and just hang out. No harm done I guess.

New England weather...

This was taken in our backyard in Dec 2005. This was a big change from Guam.
This was at my friend Randy's house. We had the day off due to snow, so we went to his house to go sledding and snowboarding in his backyard.

This is from when I qualified submarines on USS San Francisco May 2001.

This is the Change of Homeport Certificate when we moved from Norfolk, VA to Guam. This thing was like gold. you had to show it to everyone.

This is my first Good Conduct Award. It's not hard to get this, just don't get in trouble and you're good.

I got this from COMSUBPAC after our TRE in 2004.

This was my End of Tour Award when I left the San Fran in Aug 2004.

I got this when I got the Navsubscol. I was the Junior Sailor of the Quarter for third third quarter 2006.

Kids in the pool 2008

These were taken when everyone, except me, were on vacation in SC this past summer (2008).

When I got to hold Morgan...

This was the first time I got to hold Morgan. I was on leave and had to leave the next day. She was in NICU for a while and the day that I had to leave she was able to be held. Right after this was taken I had to go back to Groton, CT. I didn't get to see her again for about two months.

Kaitlyn's first birthday

This was at Kaitlyn's first birthday. We did cupcakes so it would be easier for her to have her own. She didn't know what to do with it at first.

Then she tasted the icing.....

and then she figured it out!

Halloween...

I'm not a big fan of Halloween, but I do like to make a off the wall pumpkin every now and then. I made this one during the '05 season when Alabama was 8-0. After that it started going down hill, so I won't do that anymore, but it made a good pumpkin anyway.
I made this one Halloween '07. Kaitlyn likes Scooby-Doo, so I did him.

This is Kaitlyn as a Moo Cow. She was about 7 months old here. She is the one on the right.
This is Morgan and Kaitlyn Halloween '06.
